Personal Life:
Shamili, better known as Baby Shamili, is a South Indian actress,Malayalee, who has appeared in Telugu , Malayalam, Kannada and Tamil films. She is probably best known for her critically acclaimed performance as the mentally challenged child Anjali in the film of the same title that fetched her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist at the age of 4. She has studied in Heart Church Park higher secondary school, Chennai and completed her Bachelors in Women's Christian College (WCC), Chennai.

Acting Career:
She started acting at the age of two. She came to prominence after acting in Kannada, Malayalamfilms as a child, and then in Tamil following her performance in Mani Rathnam's 'Anjali', in which she portrayed a mentally challenged child, which garnered her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist.In 1992, she acted in Bharathan's Malooty which won her many appreciation. She also acted as a teenager in Fazil's Harikrishnans as Mammooty and Mohanlal's little sibling. In kannada she made Dakshayini, Kadambari (1993), Karulina Kudi (1995), Bhairavi (1991), Chinna Nee Naguthiru (1993). She stopped acting in kannada 10 years ago, but still she is the famous child actress.
She has been cast in Anand Ranga's directorial debut alongside Siddarth. Anand Ranga worked as an associate to 'Bommarillu'. Shooting is underway and the movie is set for a late-2009 release. She also stars as Mohanlal's daughter in a yet-to-be-titled movie. she acted in a telugu oy! for the first time as actress and she has no. of movies to act as an actress in line.

She started acting at the age of two. In 1990, she acted in Bharathan's Malootty, a film based on Jessica McClure. Her performance won her critical appreciation and the Kerala State Film Award for Best Child Artist. Her breakthrough in Tamil came with Mani Ratnam's 'Anjali', in which she portrayed a mentally challenged child, which earned her the National Film Award for Best Child Artist. She also acted as a teenager in Fazil's Harikrishnans as Mammooty and Mohanlal's sibling. In Kannada, she acted in Dakshayini, Kadambari (1993), Karulina Kudi (1995), Bhairavi (1991) and Chinna Nee Naguthiru (1993).

She has been cast as the female lead in Anand Ranga's directorial debut ^[2] Oy! alongside Siddarth. (Anand Ranga worked as an associate to Bhasker during Bommarillu.) The movie which released during the summer of 2009 was a box-office dud. She also stars as Mohanlal's daughter in a yet-to-be-titled movie. To this day, she is the famous child actress.
